On the occaison of Hrithik Roshan’s birthday the makers of the much awaited action flick Vikram Vedha, today released the first look of the actor as Vedha. Hrithik Roshan, who turns 48 today, took to his social media to share the first look.
Covered in blood, the actor is seen sporting a rugged and intense look with a heavy beard and moustache. He completes his look with fancy aviators in the poster and is seen staring at the camera lens. “VEDHA. #vikramvedha,” he wrote as the caption for the image.
Announcing the news on their official account, T-Series shared a tweet and wrote, “Here’s wishing Hrithik Roshan a very happy birthday! Delighted to present the first look of Vedha in #VikramVedha. Hitting the cinemas worldwide on 30th September 2022.”
A remake of the Tamil blockbuster by the same name starring R. Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi, the film stars Saif Ali Khan as Vikram and Hrithik Roshan as Vedha with Radhika Apte in a pivotal role. Termed as a neo-noir thriller by its makers, Vikram Vedha is inspired by the folktale of Vikram aur Betaal. The film tells the story of a tough police officer who sets out to track down and kill an equally tough gangster.
The makers have concluded two schedules of the film already. Hrithik began shooting for the film on October 15,2021 on the occasion of Dusshehra. He had done an extensive shoot in Dubai whereas Saif filmed for 12 days in Lucknow in December 2021.
While fans have reacted enthusiastically to the revelation, the actor’s father Rakesh Roshan called it a “super look” on Instagram.
The veteran actor and filmmaker had earlier announced that Hrithik Roshan would take over the super-hero cape of ‘Krrish’ once again. In January 2020, the senior Roshan had declared the release date of the fourth film in the “Krrish” franchise as a birthday gift to his actor-son.
Madhavan who played Vikram in the original film was in awe of Hrithik’s first look too. Soon after, he reposted the photo and wrote on Twitter, “Now that’s a “Vedha” I do want to see…. Wow bro .. this is EPIC. Damnnnnn.”
Earlier, Madhavan had appreciated Hrithik’s performance in the film. “Totally Blown with what you guys have done in terms of the mounting of this film.. @iHrithik looks like he is going to rule the World… what an attitude and look man . Phew .. This one one has “historic” & “ legendary” written all over it bro.”
Vikram Vedha is presented by Gulshan Kumar, T-Series Films and Reliance Entertainment in association with Friday Filmworks and YNOT Studios Production. The film is directed by Pushkar & Gayatri, who also wrote and directed the original film and produced by S Sashikanth and Bhushan Kumar. Vikram Vedha will hit the big screens globally on September 30,2022.
Apart from Vikram Vedha, Hrithik Roshan also has films like Fighter alongside Deepika Padukone, a sequel of his last release War, and the next installment in his superhero franchise, Krrish 4.
