The Mumbai Police Twitter account reported earlier today (June 3, 2021) that suspected lovebirds Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani have been arrested in Mumbai for breaking COVID-19 regulations.
The Mumbai Police’s Twitter account, without naming them, made subtle references to them, writing, “In the ongoing ‘War’ against the virus, going ‘Malang’ on the streets of Bandra cost dearly to two actors who have been booked under sections 188, 34 IPC by Bandra PStn . We request all Mumbaikars to avoid unnecessary ‘Heropanti’ which can compromise on safety against #COVID19.”

Tiger Shroff’s mother, Ayesha Shroff, however, has flatly denied that Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani had broken the COVID-19 rules.
When a photographer posted a photo of Tiger and Disha with the caption that FIR has been filed against them for violating COVID-19 guidelines, Ayesha responded angrily, writing, “You got your facts wrong my dear. They were heading home and cops were checking Aadhaar cards on the way. No one is interested in “roaming” at a time like this. Please get your facts right before saying such things. Thank you!”
A Mumbai Police official previously told PTI, “In the evening, Shroff was sighted walking about the Bandstand area by a police team. When asked why he was wandering around outside, he couldn’t give a good answer. Police took down his information and filed a complaint under IPC section 188 (disobeying a public servant’s command).”
The officer further stated that the offence was a bailable offence and that no arrests had been made. Tiger and Disha have yet to respond to the allegations.
