This is the year 1989 when the superhit film ‘Kranti’ was being filmed. It was a multi-starrer picture for which Manoj Kumar had risked everything. At the time, Hema Malini was also filming her second feature, Razia Sultan. However, the day following the wedding, Hema Malini arrived on the sets of Kranti and stated that today’s shooting should be completed fast because she has another project to shoot.
Manoj Kumar was not happy with Hema’s behavior. Not only that, but Manoj Kumar left Hema jobless on the set for the entire day. Hema became enraged and returned to her home. Hema Malini was putting more pressure on the film ‘Razia Sultan,’ believing that it would be a success. Let it be known that when Kamal Amrohi, director of ‘Razia Sultan,’ learned of this, he immediately contacted Manoj Kumar. Manoj Kumar told Amrohi that Hema should have brought permission from me to do another film in such a situation. While I was not informed that she is filming anything other than ‘Kranti,’ There is, however, a more well-known story behind it. Hema Malini reportedly refused to wear a white sari at the production since she was married and requested that the scene get shot at a later stage. Manoj Kumar became enraged as a result of this.
Sette Pe Satta; Hema Malini, who was pregnant at the time, was cast in the film because of Amitabh Bachchan. In the film Satte Pe Satta, director Raj N Sippy wanted to hire a different actress. According to rumors in the media, Sippy wanted Rekha to star alongside Amitabh Bachchan in this film. However, due to issues with Rekha and Amitabh’s relationship at the time, Rekha was unable to participate in this film.
