Is Disney+ Hotstar working on a new project based on Andaz Apna Apna? On Monday, the streaming site teased fans with a series of tweets that read, “Aaye hai, toh kuch toh lekar jaayenge” and “Gogo ji kya kya chura sakte hain?” They later released a video in which Shakti dressed up as Crime Master Gogo, his popular character from the cult film Andaz Apna Apna. Shakti Kapoor is seen in the video conversing with another individual who is attempting to explain a scene to him. Shakti, on the other hand, takes away his pen. When he requests his pen, Shakti responds, “Pen hai.” Tumhari jaan nahi nahi hai.” Shakti’s performance brought back a lot of memories for fans, who shared their delight in the comments area.
Soon, Shraddha Kapoor also took to Instagram to share a video that featured her with her father as Crime Master Gogo.
Shraddha is seen in the video applying nail polish until Gogo interrupts her, snatches her nail polish, and flees. Shakti corrects Shraddha when she refers to the senior actor and her father as ‘Bapu,’ saying, “I am Crime Master Gogo.” I’ve returned. Aaya hu, kuch loot kar jaunga.”
Soon after, Shraddha turns to the camera and asks, “Why has Disney+Hotstar called Gogo back?” leaving her followers perplexed. The video piqued the interest of Bollywood, not just Shakti Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor fans. Many of Shraddha’s peers reacted to the video. Tiger Shroff referred to Shakti Kapoor as a “legend,” Karan Tacker termed the video “epic,” and Tejaswini Kolhapure thought it was “too good.”
Shraddha Kapoor said of her father’s popular character, “Ever since I was a child, I have relished witnessing my father on television – entirely in his element, bringing his personal touch to characters that today have a big cult-like following!” Being on set with him is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It’s an honor to spend screen time with my father, and I’m looking forward to seeing how this unfolds!”
This is the first time Shraddha and Shakti Kapoor have appeared together on screen. Shraddha is presently filming her Luv Ranjan movie, in which she will co-star with Ranbir Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia
