The creators of ‘Shabaash Mithu’ with Taapsee Virgo have opened a trailer for the upcoming film. In which they give a look at how one woman changed the game and won it. Former national cricket team captain Sourav Gangula shared on Twitter a link to a film trailer. It is based on the life of legendary cricketer Mithali Raj.
The trailer begins by showing a young Mithali who is interested in the sport but the opportunity has not provided to her. Fortunately for her, her coach (played by Vijay Raaz) introduced her talent and brought her under the wing. She continues to find a place in the national and international team and at the same time faces various challenges. She was immediately appointed captain of the women’s Indian cricket team and soon embarked on a journey that gave the team her right.
Known for his record 23-year career in international cricket, Mithali Raj has completed more than 10,000 runs at ODI. Shabaash Mithu followed his path to becoming a legendary cricketer and an inspiration to billions of women and girls around the world. The film is a tribute to a recently retired icon. The message Naz Nazariya badlo, khel badalgaya ’is included in the trailer to the end with impressive dialogues and perspectives on the talented Taapsee. She plays Mithali with the greatest conviction. The actor is known for her performances and selection of films that question the ways.
Shabaash Mithu was shot at local and international locations. Produced by Viacom18 Studios, Shabaash Mith’s creative producer is Ajit Andhare, while the film is directed by Srijit Mukherji and written by Priya Aven. The film will hit theatres on July 15.
