The filmmaker Hansal Mehta said on Wednesday that he had already tied to knot with his longtime partner Safena Husain at a private ceremony in San Francisco, USA. The 54-year-old filmmaker, known for his films such as Shahid, Aligarh, Omerta (2018) and also the 1992 Scam series, shared his wedding news with Safena Husain on Insta, and Twitter.
In the photos, Hansal Mehta is shown in an exceedingly brown jacket and T-shirt. Meanwhile, Safeena Husain looks great in a pink salwar suit. The fresh couple also posed with their family . The filmmakers Vishal Bhardwaj, Anubhav Sinha, actors Rajkummar Rao, Manoj Bajpayee and Nimisha Sajayan, and chef Ranveer Brar, who was recently directed by Hansal in Modern Love Mumbai congratulated the lovely couple.
Rajkummar Rao, who worked with Hansal on Shahid, Omerta and Citylights, congratulated the couple in comments section. He wrote: “Congratulations to my favorite couple. You complement each other. I love you both.
Mehta was previously married to Sunita Mehta. They have two sons – Jay, who is also a director, and Pallava.
Hansal Mehta is currently engaged on several projects after the success of Scam 1993: The Harshad Mehta Story. He recently announced that he starred in Scam 2003: The Telgi Story. He also worked on Scoop, latest series for Netflix, and Captain India, a theatrical film starring Kartik Aaryan.
