Kodak Black Arrested: According to reports, Kodak Black was detained on New Year’s Day while supposedly performing good acts in his former neighborhood.
On Saturday at 1.30 a.m. in Pompano Beach, Florida, the 24-year-old rapper, actual name Bill Kapri, was arrested on a misdemeanor trespassing charge.
His lawyer minimized the event, calling it “bogus” and “based on nothing more than a cease-and-desist letter dated four months ago.”
According to the newspaper, Black ‘traveled to his old neighborhood of Greenacres for the holidays to hang out with some pals, as well as to wipe off credit card debt for five families in the area who’d spent money on Christmas gifts for their kids and loved ones.’
The accusation appeared to be a minor infraction, and Black was released after posting a $25 (£18) bail.
After completing a 90-day court-ordered stay at a treatment center, Black’s lawyer announced in December that he was “clean and sober.”
After failing a drug test, a breach of his probation terms from his federal firearms case, the singer had left treatment and was ‘prepping to get back on the road’ to restart his career.
Black asked permission to leave his Florida treatment center for the final 30 days of his therapy in October.
According to fresh legal documents acquired by TMZ, Kodak’s doctors and treatment experts thought that a program outside of the state would assist him.
For security considerations, the docs did not disclose any specifics or information on the star’s whereabouts.
