Rajinikanth was born in Bangalore, India, on December 12, 1950, to a Marathi family. His family was poor, therefore he worked as a conductor for Bangalore Transport Services.
Started acting after leaving the work of the conductor
Rajinikanth discovered he had many abilities while working as a conductor, which is why he abandoned this position and entered the performing business. After that, Rajinikanth joined in Madras Film Institute in 1974, where he learned Tamil as well as Kannada.
Rajinikanth received a supporting part in Apoorva Ragangal in 1975 after learning Tamil. K Balachandra directed the film, and Rajinikanth considers him to be his master. Rajinikanth starred as the villain in a number of films alongside Kamal Haasan between 1975 and 1977.
Rajinikanth did not look back after that, delivering a string of superhit flicks one after the other. His personal style became a part of who he was. Did not get expected success in Bollywood

Conferred with Dadasaheb Phalke and Padma Bhushan Award
Rajinikanth was recognized with six Tamil Nadu State Film Awards in 2014 for his contributions to the film industry. There were four Best Actor awards and two Special Awards for Best Actor awards. In the year 2000, he was also given the Padma Bhushan. At the 45th International Film Festival of India in 2014, Rajinikanth received the Centenary Award for Indian Film Personality of the Year. The Dadasaheb Phalke Award has also been bestowed on him.
