Outkast’s Big Boi is divorced from Sherlita Patton, officially ending their 20-year marriage. In the legal documents obtained by TMZ, the court would decide on a final divorce last month. The rapper (47) filed for divorce in April. In his submission, Big Boi would say that there is no “reasonable hope for reconciliation” between him and Sherlitta. Even they were already divorced and living separately.
Both voted in the marriage contract in 2016. Meanwhile, in which they shared their property and debts, and recently agreed to a confidential settlement that binds everyone indefinitely. The former also agreed to keep the details of their finances secret.
However, the divorce would seem to be in order. As both parties have agreed to avoid “maltreating, molesting, harassing, harming or abusing” during the trial. The former signed a prenuptial agreement in 2016 describing how they shared their assets and debts, in addition to a new confidentiality agreement.
The couple had problems in a previous marriage. Sherlita filed for divorce back in 2013, seeking financial support and full care for her children.
Big Boi says that Sherlite will gain nothing without a fight, but will reunite later.
Sherlita owns a clothing boutique in Atlanta, Georgia called PValentine. That was previously featured in the episode My Super Sweet 16.
Big Boi, who also has a son from a previous relationship, is best known as a member of the hip-hop duo Outkast alongside Andre 3000.
