Today comes the sad news from the voice acting industry. Billy Kametz died at the age of 35 after battling fourth-stage colon cancer. In late April, Kametz revealed that he had been diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer. He said at the time that he was ending voice overtime and that he would be replaced by other voice actors in current and ongoing roles. He also said at the time that he was returning to Pennsylvania with his family. Kametz was born and raised in Pennsylvania and left Disney as part of the Disney Cruise Line entertainment staff. He later moved to California when he was offered the role of Aladdin in Musical Spectacular at Disneyland.

A few days after his announcement, the GoFundMe campaign was launched on his behalf. The campaign says the money raised will go to travel, insurance costs, medical bills that are not covered by insurance, and the needs of everyday life.
His Girlfriend Wrote Emotional Post
The 35-year-old actor is well known in the anime and video game industries. For her role as Naofumi Iwatani in The Rising of the Shield Hero in 2019, Kametz won the Best Voice Acting Award at the 4th Annual Crunchyroll Anime Awards. He has also played characters in anime series such as Attack on Titan, Boruto, Demon Slayer, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure (Josuke Higashkata), Pokémon Journeys (Ren) and Neon Genesis Evangelion (Shigeru Aoba).
The Kametz family will hold a funeral on June 15 and a funeral on June 18.
