The first trailer for the highly anticipated Black Adam from DC is now available on YouTube, the original story of a wrestler counterpart who became actor Dwayne Johnson.
Black Adam is the eleventh film in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) and a by-product of Shazam. The release of the trailer was delayed by several months due to the pandemic, but it is finally over.
The film also explores the background of the character as a slave before receiving the power of the Egyptian gods.
Black Adam is the enemy of Shazam. The character first appeared in DC comics in the 1940s, initially as a hungry villain, before gradually evolving into an antihero in 2000. According to a description provided by DC Comics, “Black Adam was an ancient practitioner of magic, a hero and a villain in his millennial life. He believed that he was the right man to lead humanity and that the solution was the greater good of the world, but may his power destroy him for many years of his life.
Black Adam plays Dwayne alongside former James Bond star Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate, Noah Centine as Atom Smasher, Aldge Hodge as Hawkman and Quintess Swindell as Cyclone and is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra. It was written by Adam Sztykiel, Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani and produced by Beau Flynn, Dany Garcia, and Hiram Garcia.
