Did You Know? Angelina Jolie Was Once Banned From Flying Her Private Plane
Angelina Jolie is one of Hollywood’s most powerful and successful actresses. She has been rated the highest-paid actress in Hollywood many times. But few people are aware that she is a frequent flyer, and she was once barred from partaking in one of her favourite pastimes.
Maleficent star, who owns a private plane, is one of the wealthiest Hollywood actresses. Maddox, her son, was the one who encouraged her to take up flying. She also got her pilot’s license, but she couldn’t fly her beloved personal plane in 2013 because she didn’t renew the registration in time.
According to records from the Federal Aviation Administration, Angelina Jolie did not file a new airworthiness certificate for her plane before it expired on June 30th, as confirmed by Page Six (FAA). Although her staff made an effort to give the agency a renewal submission, it did not arrive on time.
The actress owns a $360,000 Cirrus SR-22 plane in red and white. The plane is equipped with one of the fastest single-engine aircraft in the world. Angelina Jolie has flown Brad Pitt, 49, Shiloh, 7, Maddox, Pax, 10, Zahara, 8, and twins, 5-year-old Vivienne and Knox, in a private jet that can attain speeds of 300 mph.
Angelina Jolie previously said, “Every time Mad sees a plane, he’s amazed.” I’d be like Superman to him if I could really fly a plane.” At the time, it was also mentioned that the actress wanted to take her visions of flying even further, with reports claiming that she and Brad Pitt were interested in being space travellers on Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic.
Although we are unsure of the status of her pilot’s license at this time, we hope that she has renewed it and is following her flight dreams.
