Deepika Padukone shared a special gift for her fans on her 36th birthday. The actress, on wednesday, shared some new posters from her upcoming film Gehraiyaan.
“A little birthday present for all the love you have showered us with,” the actress said as she took to her social media to post a series of character posters with rather romantic tag lines.
The newly released posters include captivating individual character posters for the lead cast, a heartwarming poster featuring Deepika and Siddhant Chaturvedi and an ensemble poster with the leads. The four character posters also reveal the name of the main leads. Deepika plays Alisha, while Siddhant essays the role of Zain.
Adding to the curiosity and intrigue around the movie, the posters tease the audience with what one can expect with this relationship drama. The posters hint at a rather scandalous love affair between the characters Alisha (Deepika) and Zain (Siddhant Chaturvedi) while their partners Karan (Dhairya Karwa) and Tia (Ananya Panday) are left in the dark.

Sharing the posters from the film, the film’s director Shakun Batra wrote: “Life is good and it does get better when you wait, but for now here is something for you.” The film also features Naseeruddin Shah and Rajat Kapur inpivotal roles.
The film has been jointly produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Shakun Batra’s Jouska Films. The makers had planned a grand trailer launch of the film on January 5th in Alibaug, Maharashtra but had to cancel the event owing to the surge in COVID-19 cases. ‘Gehraiyaan’ was announced back in 2019 but got delayed due to the pandemic.
Originally set for a January release, the film will now come out in time for the Valentine’s Day weekend on February 11, 2022.
Meanwhile,on the workfront birthday girl Deepika Padukone has her hands full. Apart from Gehraiyaan, which releases on February 11, Padukone has a number of projects lined up for release, which includes the likes of Fighter (co-starring Hrithik Roshan), the Nag Ashwin movie which also has Prabhas in the lead, and The Intern’s Hindi remake starring Amitabh Bachchan. The actress is also gearing up for the release of Pathan, on which more details are expected soon. On the other hand, she will also be seen in Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus that features an ensemble cast of many talented actors namely Varun Sharma, Siddhartha Jadhav, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Vrajesh Hirjee, Vijay Patkar, Sulbha Arya, Mukesh Tiwari, Anil Charanjeett, Ashwini Kalsekar, Murli Sharma and others. It is slated for a theatrical release on 15 July 2022.
