Early Life
Dan Pena was born on August 10, 1945. In the United States of America, Jacksonville, Florida was his birthplace. There is little known about his family, including his wife and children.
Pena went to California State University, Northridge. In 1975, he graduated with a BS in Business Administration.
Career
Dan served in the United States Army before enrolling at the institution. He resigned as an officer in 1969 and enrolled immediately in the University. Pena began working in real estate as soon as he graduated from college. He then worked at Paine, Webber, Jackson & Curtis. He then went to work at Bear Stearns. Dan went on to become the CEO and president of Kennedy Industrial Inc. and the chairman of JPK Industries, Inc.
Pena became the creator of Great Western Resources Inc., a Houston-based natural resource corporation, in 1982. He resigned from his job in 1992. Dan is also the creator of the Guthrie Group, named after Scotland’s Guthrie Castle. In 2002, he established the investing consortium in the Channel Islands.
