Chris Evans wrote the role of Captain America in the Marvel superhero film series, namely Captain America: The First Avenger, The Avengers, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, and Captain Marvel. In addition to preparing for Captain America 4, the actor will also appear in the film The Gray Man, where he can be seen stepping into the shoes of an antagonist called Lloyd Hansen alongside Ryan Gosling.
It’s almost three years ago that the legendary Captain America shield was handed over by Chris Evans, Steve Rogers, to Anthony Mackie, who will take over Sam Wilson. Mackie undoubtedly has a lot of boots to fill the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), and Falcon and Winter Soldier give him the perfect opportunity to do so.
What did he say?
Evans recently shared his thoughts on what he sees as his replacement for Captain America. Evans said Nice, “There’s no better way to do it. I mean, he’s doing it honestly. I’m so proud of him. I can’t wait to see what they’ll do with it in the future, but when there are tears.” dripping, it’s just for the sweet memories I have.

Chris Evan praised his successor as Captain America of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Anthony Mackie. Evans retired as Steve Rogers, the original Captain America, at the end of Avengers: Endgame in 2019. He also handed over his shield to Sam and declared him his successor.
For now, Mackie is ready to take his Captain America role to new heights with Captain America 4, which is in the early stages of development under The Falcon and Winter Soldier lead writer Malcolm Spellman. It’s pretty much a mystery what this series will bring to the table, but Evans is as excited as anyone else to see what Mackie has to offer in her first attempt at MCU.
Evans last appeared as Captain America in Avengers: Endgame, which was released in 2019. In the meantime, Evans will hear the announcement of Lightyear’s role in the animated film “Lightyear” next time.
