Karla Camila Cabello Estrabao was born on March 3, 1997, in Eastern Havana, Cuba to her parents Alejandro Cabello and Sinuhe Estrabao. In her early life, she stayed in Mexico City and Havana. She relocated to the Florida, USA when she was five. Cabello acquired American citizenship in 2008. She has a younger sister named Sofia.
She went to Miami Palmetto High School but dropped out when she was in the ninth grade to pursue a career in singing but later earned her diploma.
