Billie Eilish the 19-year-old Grammy winner released her new track, “Your Power,” and accompanying music video on Thursday. The track is taken from Eilish’s forthcoming sophomore album, Happier Than Ever, which will be released this summer.
The music video was filmed in Simi Valley, California, and features an 80-pound anaconda that wraps around the teen star’s waist and neck at one point. This is Eilish’s fourth solo music video.
Eilish wrote this “one of my favourite songs i’ve ever written” about her new song, which is produced by her brother and collaborator, Finneas, in an Instagram post.
“I feel very vulnerable putting this one out because i hold it so close to my heart,” Eilish said of the single. “this is about many different situations that we’ve all either witnessed or experienced. I hope this can inspire change. try not to abuse your power.”
Eilish’s album will have 16 tracks, according to an Apple Music tracklist, with songs like “Billie Bossa Nova,” “my future,” “Oxytocin,” “Lost Cause,” and “NDA” among them.
Eilish won record, album, and song of the year, as well as a best new artist, in the major categories.
Billie Eilish: The World Is a Little Blurry, Eilish’s forthcoming album, will be her first project since the release of her documentary Billie Eilish: The World Is a Little Blurry in late February. The film tracks the singer from the moment she gets her driver’s license to the completion of her debut album, which she recorded entirely at her family home.
