We bring you top 5 angelina jolie action movies that you should watch right now. Keep in mind that, though the films themselves aren’t particularly compelling, Jolie is.
Angelina Jolie is still one of the great action heroines in 21st-century Hollywood, despite not being as busy as she once was. The actress isn’t particularly well-known for her action films, but she should be. She has appeared in a number of prominent genre films.
Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001)
Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, based on the popular action-adventure video games Tomb Raider, was a demanding job for the 20-year-old Jolie, who proved she was more than up to it. While the picture itself was not groundbreaking, basically everyone praised Jolie’s performance.
The film could have created a successful franchise if it had been directed and written by better directors and writers.
Lara Croft: Tomb Raider – The Cradle of Life (2003)
Lara Croft: Tomb Raider 2 garnered slightly better reviews, although it was still a flop. Jolie’s efforts, on the other hand, was lauded once more, this time even more so. If more films like these had come her way, Angelina Jolie wouldn’t have been one of the best action stars of the century.
Jolie played alongside James McAvoy in Imur Bekmambetov’s action thriller. Jolie plays the mentor to McAvoy’s timid white-collar worker who learns he is the son of a legendary assassin in the film. The movie has some great action sequences and is quite entertaining.
Again, Jolie’s excellent performance was undermined by terrible writing in Salt. The movie is still worth seeing especially to see the performer in action.
Those Who Wish Me Dead (2021)
With the film Those Who Wish Me Dead, Jolie demonstrated that she can still pack a punch in her mid-40s. Hannah (Angelina Jolie) is a smokejumper (firefighters who work to put out wildfires) who meets Connor (Finn Little), a little boy on the run from two assassins who want him dead.
Jolie, who had only appeared in a handful of live-action films in the previous few years, was perfectly at ease in this dramatic, demanding part.
