A romantic comedy film Raabat is that was released in 2017. Directed by Dinesh Vijan, the film starring Kriti and Sushant in the lead role with Rajkummar Rao, Jim Sarbh, and Varun Sharma. The tells the story of reincarnated star-crossed lovers. While they were shooting the film, there were reports that Kriti and Sushant were seeing each other. However, the two never denied or accepted their relationship. In 2020, Sushant found dead on June 14 in Mumbai.
On the occasion of the 5th anniversary of ‘Raabta’, actress Kriti Sanon shared a special post on Instagram. In his contribution, Kriti recalls his collaboration with Sushant. The duo was heard dating each other during the filming. Earlier on the first anniversary of Sushant’s death in 2021, Kriti wrote a heartfelt note along with a collection of scenes from the film Raabta.
